PARANOIA IN THE LAUNDERETTE

Genre: Dark Comedy - Short Film

 

Jack is a paranoid, sleep deprived screenwriter who has an irrational fear of being murerded. When his literary agent calls him on the phone to pitch his latest televison series, "decades of death" in less than two hours to a studio exec, Jack races to the laundromat in order to have clean clothes to wear to the sales pitch. The actions Jack takes sends him on a downward sprial with no chance to escape.

Based on the novella by Bruce Robinson, Paranoia In The Launderette explores darkly comedic diasters of epic proportions.

THE EYE IN THE SKY

After driving to Las Vegas, Richard Marcus soon finds himself broke and homeless, forcing him to take a job as a casino dealer. 

 

He meets Joe Classon, the leader of a gang of casino cheats. Richard accepts the invitation to join his team. Eventually Richard runs a team of his own. Steven DeVisser, a private detective that specializes in hunting down casino cheats, makes it his life’s work to put Richard behind bars. It soon becomes a game of wits, and you are never quite sure what the outcome will be.

 

Based on the true story, “American Roulette”, by Richard Marcus, “The Eye In The Sky”,  follows Richard’s twenty-five year career, giving the audience a rare glimpse of what it takes to be a successful casino cheat.

When detective George Franklin is asked to work on the cold case files he stumbles upon a new lead in the unsolved murder of lighthouse keeper John Paul Muller back in 1815. Through a series of flashbacks, George discovers the true reason why the case remains unsolved including a high ranking corrupt political official, two drunken soldiers and a police commissioner hell bend on finding the truth in order for justice to be served.

 

Based upon a true story, Gibraltar Point examines the root cause behind the death of a lighthouse keeper and the people who tried to cover it up.
